Obituary

SETTLES, Carol I. age 75, of Southgate, December 10, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Lester Settles. Loving mother of Kim (Bennie) Machowicz, Connie (Gary) Forbus, Kathy (Sean) Settles. Dearest grandmother of Jeremy, B.J., Cassie (Justin), Tori (Brian), Nicholas, and Tyler; great-grandmother of Aria. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Lou Deneau, Shirley Mohney, and Gail Kaurin. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, her grandson, Michael, her parents Leo and Genivieve Triplett, her brothers, Bill and Pete. Her cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

Carol, I love you and I am going to miss you a lot. I will miss our phone calls, and will always have you in my heart, prayers and thoughts. My memories of us will last through the end of my lifetime. So sorry to hear about your loving mom. She was such a caring person who deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great granchild. I will miss seeing her at all the family functions. Girls, sisters, and extended family, I am so, so sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother, and sister. She was my friend and also treated me as one of the "sisters".
