Cathy Lynn Shook, age 62, of Newport, November 16, 2022. Beloved wife to Richard Shook. Loving mother to Nicholas (Cassandra) Shook, Zachary Shook, and Benjamin (Kailynne) Shook. Dearest grandmother to Madison, Ashleigh, Chelsea, and Levi. She is survived by her siblings Janet (Dewey) Webb, Kennie Simmons, and niece Laura Webb. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Janice Simmons, sister Linda Simmons, and nephew Dewey Thomas Webb. Cathy was involved with charities for animals and her family was very important to her. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
