Obituary

Colin Mark-Andrew Swift, of New Boston, Michigan, passed away on July 9, 2026, at the tender age of 13. Born on September 6, 2012, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Colin brought boundless joy and energy to all who knew him.

From a young age, Colin exhibited a zest for life and a curiosity that was truly infectious. He found great joy in the world around him, especially through his love for cross country and soccer. Whether he was racing down a trail or scoring a goal, Colin's spirit shone brightly. Whether he was fishing or skiing, he was happiest outdoors, enjoying nature and the adventures it had to offer. In addition to his athletic pursuits, Colin had a keen interest in robotics, which sparked his imagination and creativity.

Colin is survived by his loving parents, Aaron and Brianne Swift, and his cherished brother, Logan Swift. He leaves behind his devoted grandparents, Andrew and Darlene Swift, and his grandfather, Mark Seyferth. Colin's memory will also be treasured by his aunts and uncles, Melisa and Paul Swift, Justin and Jessica Seyferth, and Brian and Anne Seyferth. His cousins, Elizabeth, Madison, Mila, Ember, Elise, and Sadie, along with many friends, will remember him fondly.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Rose Seyferth and great-grandparents Lewis and Gladys Swift, Dolores and Henry Budzyn, Guy Brown, Raymond and Sue Seyferth, and Pauline and Joseph DePasqualin.

Colin's vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed his path during his brief yet impactful life. May he rest in peace.

  • We first met Colin when he was just a few hours old. Even then, he was a charmer. He smirked at you and you melted. He was curious about everything, especially construction equipment. He could light up a room instantly. It seemed like he went from infant to toddler to schoolboy in a flash. His spirit and bright light will be with us forever and ever. It was an honor to know you. God Bless you Colin. We love you. Amen. Aunt JoAnn & Uncle Dennis Brown JoAnn & Dennis Brown
