- I love Dan. Dan was a good friend and I am so sad that he left. Dan never lied and he was always good to me. I am proud to be his friend. We all know Dan; the good Dan and the not so good Dan. So many times Dan had the most profound insight and good advice which always came for the love he had – not just for me but for all of us. Dan cared about all of us, he would often tell me that he prayed every day and included all of us in those prayers. He had issues with addiction and mental illness but those things do not define my friend because under those things he was good, good person. He was so proud of his daughter, Krista and his grand children (he bragged all the time and shared many stories about his daughter often). He loved his family and always said “I love you.” Something many of us do not do – as a lesson from Dan we should start to follow, that simple but meaningful small thing. He never forgot a birthday or Holiday and was always willing to listen and talk. I will never forget the great many conversations he and I had. I can say he was one of my best friends. Many of you have memories with Dan some not so great but we cannot let the bad memories over shadow the great memories we shared with him. My heart is heavy with saddens for the loss of such a good dear friend. I will truly miss him. In my faith, I am so grateful to God that He welcomed Dan home in the most peaceful of ways! I will miss you my friend, extra innings when we meet again!! All my Love, Jeanne Jeanne
