Obituary
Dawn Marie Simpson, born on March 19, 1964, in Garden City, Michigan, passed away on January 27, 2025, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 60.
Dawn was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent her career as a custodian for District 7 schools, from which she retired. Her commitment to her work and her community was evident in all she did.
A true Michigander at heart, Dawn was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions, as well as the Michigan State University Spartans. She found great joy in attending concerts and sporting events, and she cherished the time spent with family and friends. Dawn also enjoyed gaming, which brought her much happiness and camaraderie.
Dawn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Cleston and Marie Simpson, and her brother-in-law, Ronald L. Bracken.
She is survived by her loving sister, Vickie Bracken; her nieces, Rhonda (Jeff) Hagan and Ann (Dave) Bracken; her nephew, Ronnie Bracken; and her best friend, LeAndra (Mike) Brown. Dawn's legacy continues through her great nephews and nieces: Dylan, Jacob, Jared, Jordan, Rylie, Kaylee, Kyle, Jaden, and Laney. She leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Dawn's warmth, kindness, and spirited enthusiasm for life touched all who knew her. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by those whose lives she enriched.
