Donald “Jimmy” Stewart76, of Romulus, Michigan, native of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed peaceably surrounded by his loved ones April 30, 2022. Jimmy was the first born and is preceded in death by his father, Charles William Stewart of Blue Ridge, Georgia. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Stewart of Southgate, Michigan; daughter, Cherie S. Stewart; son, Jimmy D. Stewart; grandson, Jimmy J. Tuck; granddaughter, Alissa Stewart; sisters, Patsy D. Wiggins (Ronald) and Debra L. Hoffmann (Robert); and several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was a graduate of the Western High School in Detroit, Michigan. In his earlier years he was an owner/operator long haul semi truck driver, and for many years he was involved in the urban renewal and renovation of the greater Detroit area. He enjoyed a great interest in the Arts and was very talented in drawing. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Michigan Memorial on June 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at The Pavilion located at 32163 W. Huron River Drive, Flat Rock, Michigan with interment to follow. If you would like to join the procession over to the cemetery please meet at Michigan memorial Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. which is located at 30895 W. Huron River Dr. in Flat Rock, Michigan. With Jimmy having been a two-time cancer survivor, please consider in lieu of flowers making a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society.
