Obituary

Duane Stanley Snoddy, born on August 7, 1943, in Lodi, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in South Lyon, Michigan, at the age of 82.

A proud alumnus of The Ohio State University, Duane dedicated his professional life to serving as a Dairy Technologist and proudly served in the Army National Guard. Duane was an enthusiastic member of the Huron Valley Harmonizers and enjoyed singing with the Barbershop Quartet, bringing joy to those around him with his musical talents and camaraderie. In his earlier years he enjoyed flying small craft airplanes and riding motorcycles. He also loved baseball and golf.  Above all, Duane cherished spending time with his family. He loved being with his wife Diane, enjoying activities like traveling, biking, walking and having quality time with his daughters.

Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Howard and Grace Snoddy; his sister-in-law, Wanda Snoddy; and his nephew, Jack Snoddy, Duane leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his devoted spouse of 38 years, Diane Cope; his cherished daughters, Kristin (Brian) May and Erin (Bob) Moulton; and stepchildren Vickie (Dan) Massy, Sherry (Barry) Griesinger, and Darlene (Joe) McGuckin. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Haylie, Sarah, and Lilly, as well as his step-grandchildren Christina (Art), Justin (Anita), Travis, Britni (Dakota), Summer, and Brianna. Duane also delighted in being the great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren.

His memory will be treasured by his brothers William (JoAnn) Snoddy and David Snoddy, brothers-in-law Reginald (Sharon) Hughes and John (Susan) Hughes, and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Duane’s warmth, humor, and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His life's journey enriched the lives of his family and friends, leaving behind a tapestry of memories that will be cherished and celebrated for years to come.
