- When Nova contacted me about becoming a Mary Kay consultant, little did I know it would include getting to know her husband ~ the incomparable Fred. He was a great Executive Assistant to her and a wonderful support and friend to all. Many memories surface but the best one was our annual awards night at the Chinese buffet in Woodhaven. What fun (& great sport!) he was when Nova was crowned our area's "Queen" and Fred became the King, complete with a Chinese robe and all the fixings! May he rest in peace and Alex and my condolences for comfort to Nova and his family. Deb Kennedy

- Aunt Nova and family. Cheryl and I send our love and condolences for you and the family. We loved that Uncle Fred and you found one other and had a beautiful and blessed life. He was a great uncle and we enjoyed our times that we visited with you and the 4th of July picnics. Please know that you are in our prayers and thoughts. Love Joe and Cheryl and family. Joseph W. Stull, Sr.

- I was blessed to be with my Aunt Nova and Uncle Fred many, many times over the past years. Erie and our family reunion are stuck in my head, as well as a wedding in Texas when my Uncle and I shared a room! We had some great talks and I learned so much about my mother and how he and my mother grew up; tidbits about my Grandmother Schleicher, and some family history that had been missing. It was wonderful to have that time to share these stories and memories!! My uncle was a quiet man with a quick wit, and always, always had a smile for me, even when he reminded me about 'inside voices'. His love, care, tenderness and concern for his wife Nova was not lost on me, and I pray that my boys model this behavior for their wives, I hope I taught them well...but Uncle Fred led by example, which is the best way to teach. I have heard from many that knew my uncle, that he was one of the last, great, respectful gentlemen. Sadly, a dying breed. I again hope that I have taught my boys well, along with my grandsons! An amazing man, and yes, he will be missed! RIP Love your 'favorite' niece, Nessa Vanessa (Nessa) Rowan
