Gertrude M. Savage (Trudy) born February 18, 1920, died peacefully June 15, 2015. She had two wonderful husbands, James D. Vaseau and John H. Savage. She is survived by her four children, Catherine Garland, David Vaseau, Daughter-In-Law, Donna Vaseau, Michelle Fultz, and Pamela Savage- Marr, ten grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was a long time resident of Allen Park, Michigan and spent many leisurely months at Silver Lake, Michigan where she enjoyed her summer home. Many of her grandchildren and her daughter-in law assisted her during her illness and it was her large, loving family which she adored. She was the glue that held them all together. She mastered many different art skills during her lifetime, including china painting, papertole, decoupage, and tole painting. She loved contributing to local art shows, where many of her pieces were sold. She conducted classes in those arts as well, and she had a great interest in ballet and other classical arts, and taught both ballet and tap dance in her younger years. She also owned and operated a popular flower shop in Allen Park, Michigan.
