Obituary
Grace Elizabeth Squire, born on June 18, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on August 9, 2026, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, at the age of 91.
Grace was a woman of simple pleasures and deep friendships. Her life was filled with laughter and joy, often found in the company of friends with whom she shared many hours playing cards and enjoying time together. She had an enduring love for casino slot machines, which brought her much enjoyment over the years. Her fondness for game shows kept her entertained as she watched the Game Show Network on TV, always eager to see who would win. Even though she didn't always play, she enjoyed keeping an eye on the lotto numbers, finding excitement in their daily draw.
Above all, Grace loved to work, valuing the sense of purpose and fulfillment it brought her throughout her life.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Squire; her parents, Edward and Maude Dougherty; her siblings, Janie Ford and Edward Dougherty; and her son-in-law, David Hall, Grace now rests peacefully in their memory.
She is survived by her loving children, Debbie (Mike) Vujnov, Cindy Hall, Kenneth (Nancy) Squire, and Daniel (Valerie) Squire. Grace was a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren, a great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren, and a proud great-great-grandmother to one.
Her legacy of warmth, friendship, and love will be carried forward by her family and all who knew her.
