Obituary

Jerome (Jerry) Francis Schoen peacefully passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 86 in Belleville, MI. He was born on December 12, 1936, in Detroit to his late parents, George and Cecelia Schoen. He is also preceded in death by his brothers George, Thomas, LeRoy, and Michael. 
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Judy, and his children, Kim Wall (Hugh) and Keith Schoen (Robyn). Additionally, he is survived by his step-children, Mark Borawski (Denise) and Cathy Smith (Steve). Jerry’s legacy also lives on through his grandchildren Kelly, Matthew, Jessica, Olivia, Brittany, Bryan, and Brandy.
Jerry served his country with honor and dignity as a member of the Navy for 4 years. After his discharge from service, he spent nearly 40 years working at Wolverine Ford Truck Sales in Dearborn, MI. 
In his leisure time, Jerry enjoyed watching sports and playing friendly card games. These hobbies gave Jerry great pleasure, as it brought him closer to his loved ones and created cherished memories. 
Jerry will forever be remembered for his warm sense of humor, unwavering love, and dedication to his family.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, located at 30895 W. Huron River Dr. in Flat Rock, MI. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or Michigan Humane Society.   His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
