Obituary

Jerry Lee Schubert, age 61, of Northville, Michigan passed away on November 8, 2020 after a long battle with kidney disease and heart disease. Born on June 24, 1959 in Trenton, Michigan, to Faye & Joel Schubert, he grew up in Belleville, Michigan where he met his wife Donna and most of his friends that he still held dear to his heart. He graduated from Belleville High School and earned degrees from R.E.T.S. Communications School, Wayne County Community College and Eastern Michigan University. He had an amazing and fulfilling career of 35 years at the United States Postal Service and United States Postal Inspection Service where he served as a Technical Surveillance Specialist before retiring in 2018. In his retirement, he enjoyed working on endless home improvement projects, wood working, computers and building birdhouses. He treasured every minute he spent with his wife and son, all his family members, close friends and with his cats. He is survived by his wife, Donna Lynn Schubert of 42 years, his beloved son, Scott Lee Schubert of Romulus, Michigan, his sisters Mary (Tom Dennis) of McMillan, Michigan, Theresa (Joe Colling) of New Braunfels, Texas, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and so many wonderful friends that he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joe and Fay Schubert of Belleville, Michigan. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home

I served with Jerry for years working many late nights and odd hours to conduct our law Enforcement duties and help protect people. Jerry was a kind and fun loving soul and he made our work enjoyable and always brought sense of adventure to challenges we faced together Jerry taught me many great things which helped me to explore new and exciting career opportunities which have sent me all over the entire United States.
