John "Jack" William Skehan Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Born on September 18, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, Jack lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication.
Jack was a proud member of the Elba Mar Boat Club and an esteemed Army Veteran, whose service to his country was a source of great pride. His passion for boating and fishing was well-known and he spent countless joyful hours on the water. Jack was also an avid sports enthusiast, with a deep love for baseball and football, which he enjoyed throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, John Kasay; his cherished wife, Alice Skehan; and his devoted parents, John and Esther Skehan.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Jack Skehan, Kelly (Tom) Fitzgerald, Tony (Colleen Nichols) Skehan, and Mark (Traci) Skehan. He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren, and he also leaves behind one great-grandchild, who brought immense joy to his later years.
Jack's legacy is one of love, strength, and enduring commitment to family and friends. His spirit will live on in the cherished memories of all who knew him.
