Josephine Olivia Snedegar, born on December 30, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on May 10, 2025, in Woodhaven, Michigan, at the age of 83. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose gentle spirit and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew her.
Josephine dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) where her compassion and dedication shone brightly. Her family and patients alike were beneficiaries of her tireless devotion and kind-hearted service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Magdalen. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Kenneth Snedegar, who stood by her side through the joys and challenges of life. Together, they built a loving family that continues to grow and thrive.
Josephine’s legacy lives on through her children: Kenny (the late Rhonda) Snedegar, Kim (Mike) Seymour, Cathy (Thomas) Dahlmann, and Roy Snedegar. Her love and wisdom extended to her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons she imparted.
A private cremation will be held at The Witness Crematory, located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Josephine's love, strength, and warmth will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
