Obituary

Karin Aimee Doege Siebenrock, 71, of Huron Township, MI, passed away on April 7, 2025. Born on January 5, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Janet (Wolford) Doege.

A proud 1973 graduate of Wayne Memorial High School, Karin followed her calling into nursing, earning her degree from Northern Michigan University in 1977.  Her career was a testament to her compassion, beginning at Heritage Hospital and later serving as Director of Nursing at Pine Creek Manor. She spent many dedicated years at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti and in home care before concluding her lifelong nursing journey at Trinity Health Ann Arbor.

On September 4, 2016, Karin married the love of her life, Ken Siebenrock. Together, they shared a beautiful life in Huron Township.

Karin’s heart belonged to her family. She was the "favorite aunt" and the first person anyone called in times of need. An avid reader and intrepid traveler, she explored the world from China and Alaska to the West Indies, though her most treasured moments were spent with family at her Florida timeshare. At home, she found peace enjoying the company of her faithful dog, Gracie, fishing with Ken, in her garden, listening to music, and watching the wildlife that visited her backyard.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; sisters, Patricia (Raymond) Bayma and Kathy Pardee; stepchildren, Shannon (Jason) Siebenrock, Ashley (Dave) Tank, and Phillip (Flower) Siebenrock; her beloved step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who adored her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Douglas and sister Susan.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
