SIMMONS, Linda S., age 68, of Trenton, October 09, 2016. Loving sister of Janet (Dewey) Webb, Kennie Simmons and Cathy (Richard) Shook. Beloved aunt of Laura Webb, Dewey Thomas Webb, Nicholas Shook, Zachary Shook and Benjamin Shook and great aunt of Madison Shook and Ashleigh Shook. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Flat Rock High School. She was a flight attendant for American Airlines for 41 years, she enjoyed traveling the world throughout her career and she will be greatly missed by her flight attendant family. She retired from flying in 2013 and continued living in Chicago, Illinois for 43 years. Linda’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Heartland Hospice for the care that they extended to her and her family. In lieu of flowers, her family request that donations be made to Cinderella’s Hope Cat Rescue in West Dundee, Illinois and Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Janice Conn Simmons. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

Dear Janet, Kennie, Cathy and family, I want to extend my deepest condolences to each of you. I was blessed when I was in initial training with Linda at American's "stewardess school ". It started a 43 year friendship with fun flying trips and great memories. Linda's special humor was loved by all. It often gave her the strength to deal with the ups and downs of the treatment. As a pilot/Captain with American Airlines, I will always remember Linda Simmons for the extremely professional way she represented the company, and the way she interacted with the passengers and her fellow employees. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peace! Phillip Hunt
Dear Janet, Kennie, Cathy and family, To you and all those that knew Linda Sue (as I always called her), I want to send my condolence and love on the passing away of my dear friend. I met her at AA Flight Academy in March, 1973 and we became good friends right from the start. I was sad that I did not get based in Chicago with her at the start as we would have had a great time as roommates. She has been a constant friend for these past 43 years. She travelled many places with me and my husband. We have many wonderful memories. She will be missed by anyone who met her. She was such fun and kept her sense of humor, even during these past few years as her health failed. Even though I have lived overseas for all these past 35 years, we never lost touch. Linda continued to be a dear friend. I will miss her and know you will, too. Wonderful memories will bring all of us comfort as the days go by. I will certainly think of her and smile.
