Obituary

SLADICH, Lorraine M., formerly Lorraine Radwanski, age 66, of Grosse Ile, August 29, 2021. Beloved wife of James Sladich. Loving sister of Margaret (Doug) Messer. She is also survived by several well-loved nieces and nephews and her furbaby Missy. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Helen Zieleck and her sister Sharron Demeter. Lorraine was truly a jack of all trades. She was a dedicated math and art teacher. Lorraine also was not afraid to get dirty and was fond of building and constructing many things, including her own house in Florida as well as here in Michigan. Lorraine also enjoyed sailing along the waters with her brother-in-law, Doug. Any and all animals had a very special place in Lorraine's heart and often donated to many animal societies. It was because of Lorraine's passion in taking care of her health, she would love everyone to be safe and in keeping with that, the family requests that everyone wear masks while indoors. To allow for further visitation, Lorraine has graciously provided multiple outdoor areas at the funeral home for her continued remembrance.

Condolences

  • This was a shock to learn and I am so sorry for your loss. Lorraine was my cousin and although we were not close and not in touch over the years, my memories of her are of her kindness and caring. Whether it was all she did for our Aunt Betty in her last years or the extra efforts she made for the students, it always shone through. My son knew her from her teaching career in Gibraltar. He and I will always have happy memories of the trip to Europe she sponsored for the students. Rest peacefully, Lorraine. Suzanne Toon
