Obituary
Marie Kathleen Story, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 65. Born on March 1, 1959, in Dearborn, Michigan, she was known for her boundless kindness and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone she met.
Marie was a beautiful soul who loved everybody and saw the best in each person. With a heart full of generosity and warmth, she embodied selflessness; always ready to give anything to anyone in need. Her home was a sanctuary where everyone was welcome, whether they were family by blood or by bond—she was everybody's mom.
Her deep affection for her grandchildren was truly profound. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her caring nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Preceding Marie in death were her husband, John Story; her parents, Harold and Gloria McEachern; her brother-in-law James Kunnert; and her mothers-in-law, Dorothy Kunnert and Joyce Brady.
She is survived by her loving children, Scott (Jada) McEachern, Cherlyn (Chris) Edmonds, and Patricia Lathers. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Zack, William, Joseph (Cass), Shiloh, Scott Jr., Gage, Eli, Amiyah, Jaden, Lucas, Kayla, Tommy, Timmy, and Tyler. Her siblings, Richard Smith, Chuck (Connie) Smith, and Susan Kunnert also survive her, along her beloved dog Baby and numerous other family members and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
Marie's life was a testament to the power of love and compassion. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy that will continue to inspire everyone whose lives she touched.
