SMITH, Mary A., age 77, of Romulus, October 21, 2014. Beloved wife of Chester Smith. Loving mother of Bruce (Debbie), Carl (Wayne), and Richard (Pam). Dearest grandmother of Ashley, Jason, Stephanie, Emma, Mitchell and great-grandmother of Selina. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Malcolm (Evelyn) and her sister-in-law Lottie. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Virginia Cady and her sister Joyce. She was a registered nurse at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital where she worked for many years and became the assistant director of nursing. She later received her bachelor degree from Sienna Heights College. After retirement, she established the parish nursing program at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Taylor.
