  • Joe and Daniel and Julia and David. My heart goes out to you. Although it’s been a while, I will never forget the love and kindness your entire family shared with me. Mary was such a blessing to me. I’ll never forget her kindness and generosity. How she made a turkey just for me at the cottage. She always had a pleasant and upbeat attitude. A truly great example of a Christian woman. Bob Guajardo

  • In every life there are individuals that touch us. Mary is one of those individuals. She was my friend from “down below”. We were not used to having neighbors at our home in the woods in Mikado, so when the Kottke’s arrived it was all new to us. I can remember being in awe of Mary (something I never told her…) as she was like the big sister I never had and hearing her stories when they came north for the weekend or week was amazing. She always made time for me. Once we were grown and our families flourished we did not get much time together, but I certainly loved when we did. Hearing about each other’s children and catching up on life was a true blessing. Knowing what the entire family means to my Mom and Dad warms my heart as well. You all are truly like one of their own. I will never forget you Mary Skrobowski…your heart, your laugh, your smile and most important your love of Jesus and your family. My heart breaks; but I for sure know that we will be reunited one day. God be with you all. Sandy Sandy “Forsythe” Schrah

  • Since my arrival at Oakwood SDA, September of 2018, Mary gave me the warmest motherly hug. Since then, I looked forward to her warm hugs and beautiful smile every sabbath. She was consistent. I’m going to miss those. To elder Joe, I cannot imagine the emptiness and confusion you are feeling. But God understands exactly what you are going through, and He promised to be there with you. We continue to lift you up in prayer. Be comforted. To my friends, Daniel, Julia, and David, thank you for sharing your mommy with me and other young people at Oakwood SDA. She adopted a whole lot of us. Your pain is shared with us, but I can imagine that it’s hitting harder for you. Please remember the songs your mommy sang for you guys as you were growing up; the smile she gave that made your worries disappear instantly; the hug she gave you guys that made you want to melt in her chest and forget the world existed; oh, the tasty food she cooked that nurtured you and all of us at Oakwood during potluck… remember all of it and hold on to those sweet memories. They will get you by. And I will continue to pray for your comfort. Our loving God promised to clear the grey and bring sunshine again into your lives. I know your mom taught you about His faithfulness. Trust and believe that He will do it for you. Call on Him to walk this journey with you. You are loved and prayed for. *hug hug hug* Kearabetswe Mokoene
  • Mary came in to my life 37 years ago when she started dating my brother. She has been such a dear friend and sister. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts that won't be filled until we see her again in glory. We love you Mary John Skrobowski
  • Dear Skrobowski Family, I have had the pleasure to work with Mary for the past 2.5 years. She has touched my life in so many ways in that time. She has prayed for me, laughed with me, cried with me. How blessed I am that she entered my life. We talked about Jesus, kids, life, family, & sang to each other in funny banter. God, family, & friends lit her up from the inside out. The joy she radiated was indescribably beautiful. I pray for comfort for all of you. She touched so many. Her light lives on in the joy she shared with others. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I will miss hearing her call me “Hunny Bunny” every time I walked into work or spoke to her on the phone. Rest easy, Mare-Bear; I love you. Catherine Mansueti
