Ralph Leon Stroud, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 7, 2026, in Southgate, Michigan at the age of 82.
Born on July 28, 1944, in Broken-Arrow, Oklahoma, Ralph grew up with a strong sense of duty and dedication. This commitment led him to serve his country proudly as an army veteran. Throughout his life, Ralph remained deeply proud of his military service and cherished the camaraderie and friendships he formed during those years.
Ralph's life was marked by the deep love he held for his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Barbara Stroud, and a caring and supportive father to his children: Shelda, Eugene Paul, Vicki Marie (Scott), and Kelly Ann (Neil). His legacy continues through his treasured grandchildren: Timothy (Lauren), Michael, Brittany, Hannah (Cody), Brooke, Jack, Josh, and Wesley. Ralph's joy was further enriched by his great-grandchildren Elena, Stella Bobbie, Layne, and Lacey, who brought him immense happiness in his later years. Even his dogs, Kayley and Lay Lay, held a special place in his heart.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Beulah Stroud, his son James, as well as his brother Jack and sister Linda. His memory will continue to be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Ralph's steadfast spirit, love for his family, and pride in his service to his country leave an enduring mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
