Obituary
Rick Stanley of Brownstown, Michigan, passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 51. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Nicole, and sons: Jackson, Bryson, and Colton; his brother, Jim; mother, Virginia; mother-in-law, Cynthia Cousineau; sister-in-law: Kristin and Courtney Cousineau. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, and father-in-law, Henry Cousineau. Rick graduated from Wellesley High School in 1989, Boston College in 1995, and Life University in 1999 as a Doctor of Chiropractic, where he met his wife of 22 years. He began his career under the guidance of his father-in-law, Henry, at Cousineau Chiropractic Life Center in Riverview, alongside his wife, Nicole, and sister-in-law, Kristin, where he practiced before establishing Great Lakes Spine and Rehab. Throughout his life, Rick was loved and made everyone feel like family. Rick's larger-than-life personality filled the room. His zest for life was contagious. Rick lived every day to the fullest. He loved boating and never missed a Lake Columbia sunset or a Sunday morning at the flea market. Rick's world revolved around his wife and three sons. He often referred to Jackson as the best person he ever knew, his middle son, Bryson, was proudly thought of as the lacrosse player he always wished to be, and Colton was undeniably cut from the same cloth and always made him laugh. He still had a crush on his wife, Nicole, after 22 years of marriage. The love shared between him and Nicole was one of a kind. His family was truly his biggest accomplishment. Rick loved love and a great meal; his signature move was to find a married couple, make small talk and secretly buy their dinner- giving was his love language. Rick is a very hard act to follow (Master of The Universe); his legacy will be lived on through his family. His cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home
