Robert James Strickland, born on April 3, 1942, in Dearborn, peacefully passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 83, in Rockwood.
A devoted family man, Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jodyne Strickland, who was his partner and confidante throughout his life. Dearest father of their sons, Scott (Stacey) Strickland and Ray Stricklin, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Robert's love for his family extended to his grandchildren: Robert (Patricia) Strickland III, Amber Hilton, Josh Stricklin, and Dominic Strickland, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren: Zachary, Kaitlyn, Hazel, Olivia, Madyson, and Ryan. He also leaves behind his nephew, Edward James (Kathy) Moran.
Preceding him in death were his son, Robert Strickland, Jr., and his great-grandson, Colton, whose memories he held close in his heart.
An individual of varied interests, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as riding motorcycles, camping, and watching television. These pastimes brought him peace and happiness, reflecting the adventurous and relaxed spirit with which he approached life.
Robert's memory will be forever treasured by his family and friends, who will remember him for his warmth, his laughter, and the love he shared with those around him.
