SHAFFER, Russell L., Jr.., age 83, of Riverview, October 17, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Shaffer. Loving father of Pamela (Steve) Chambers, Brenda Gibbs and Edward Bartlett. Dearest grandfather of Michael, Rachel, Tyler, Brett, Chelsea Russell IV, Sarah, Eddie, Andrea, Dawn and Marlin. Dear great grandfather of several loving great grandchildren. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Russell was a long-time member of the VFW, American Legion and the Grosse Ile Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his son Russell Shaffer III, stepson Steve Barlett, parents Elvera and Russell Sr., Shaffer, stepdaughter MaryJo, sister Janie Stewart and his brother Bob Shaffer. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
