Shirley Fay Scanlon, born on June 23, 1946, in San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 78.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley's life was marked by her boundless love for her family and her vibrant passion for crafting. As a self-employed craft business owner, she channeled her immense creativity into her work, bringing joy to many through her handmade creations. Her love for crafting was mirrored by her enthusiasm for gardening, painting, music, and travel. Shirley cherished the thrill of trying new things and embraced every opportunity to explore the world with her loved ones.
Shirley is preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Marvin Scanlon, and her four sisters and one brother. Her memory will be eternally cherished by her surviving family: her children Norman Scanlon, Timothy (Patricia) Scanlon, and Frank (Christy) Scanlon; her grandchildren Allison (Tyler) Gates, Timothy Scanlon, Joseph Scanlon, John (Kelsie) Scanlon, and Tyler (Shelby) Scanlon; and her great-grandchildren Kaleb, Grace, Erin, Sampson, and Nora.
Shirley's legacy of love, creativity, and adventurous spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
