Obituary

Teresa Karen Stevens, born on January 1, 1956, in Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away on July 12, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 70.

Teresa was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She had a passion for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. Shopping was another of her cherished pastimes, where she delighted in finding treasures for herself and others. Above all, Teresa's greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond with.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeffrey Stevens; her grandchild, Keeley; and her parents, Donald and Kathryn Adkins. Teresa leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter, Hope Stevens, and son-in-law, Tom; her treasured grandchildren, Shelby and Tommy; her sister, Sandy Adkins; and her mother-in-law, Billie Stevens. She is also survived by her dear family friend, Kristine Kiernan, who was like family to her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gift of Life and Accent Care Hospice, who took wonderful care of Teresa in her final days. Teresa's legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
