SHELDON, Jr., William E., age 93, of Arizona City, AZ, formerly of Belleville, MI and Red Level, AL, passed away quietly at home on Monday, January 18, 2021. William (Bill) was born to William Sr., and Marion Sheldon on April 5, 1927, in Ann Arbor, MI. He served in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1977 after more than 30 years with Michigan Bell Telephone Company. He loved to fish and do woodworking. He is survived by children Gary (Janet) Sheldon of North Carolina, Steven Sheldon of Michigan, Robert Sheldon of Florida, Alice (Jack) Drake of California, Wendy (Tom) Penhallegon of California, Pamela Benguian (Jim) Doemer of Michigan, Amber (Kirk) Redmond of Kansas, Jeremy Sheldon of Michigan; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; his sister Shirley (Dick) Seeburger of Michigan; his sisters-in-law Jacqueline and Marva McCoy of Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wilma M. Sheldon, his daughter, Roberta Jordan, and his daughter-in-law, Anne Marshall Sheldon. For the last few years Bill has been cared for by his granddaughter Amy Sylvia, her husband, Matt, and their children, Jaydon, Madison and Ryan, and also Grandma Loretta Brack. He was so happy there and really came back to life with their love and tenderness. A special Thank You to Richard Collier of Belleville, MI, for being such a great friend and neighbor for many years. Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, Flat Rock is handling the services and burial.
