Obituary

Danny was born in his home state of Kentucky in Virgie on August 26th 1944 to Lawernce and Maude Tackett(Hudson). He was an Automotive Aftermarket Professional “ Dan Dan the Mighty Man” serving customers, most becoming good friends, for over 30 years in the Downriver area of Southeast MI. Danny was the beloved husband of Judith Elane Tackett (Vaughan), Danny and Judy were married August 15th, 1970 and truly had a wonderful life together, but their lives truly revolved around their family.  Danny and Judy had five children: Johnny, Dar, Robbie, Dan and Greg. Survived by his wife Judith Tackett, Children John and Lucy Levack, Darlene and Leo Gittler, Dan and Mary Tackett and Gregory and Sara Tackett and pre-deceased by his son Robert Levack. Dear Grandfather “Papa” to Michelle and Andrew White, Jacob & Sara Gittler, Sydney & Matt Hulbert, Logan Tackett, Myles Tackett, Sarah Tackett and Austin Tackett.  Great Grand Children: Tony Cellular, Joesph Cellular and Vennesa Cellular. Danny was the beloved brother to Covis Tackett, Troy Tackett, Laura “Meffie” Johnson, Zettie Johnson, Faye Rodgers, Helen Tackett and McDonald. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Danny leaves this life with a tremendous amount of love from his family but truthfully Dad has left us with so much more. Danny was truly a great man that never saw the negative in anything or anybody. He left his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with an example of faith, family,  gratitude, love and forgiveness that truly is an example that we all have used and continue to draw strength from,  as we move on in his honor. Thank you Danny, dad, papa & Uncle Danny for being the greatest example and leaving such an impression on our lives that will last far after you have returned home to heaven

Condolences

  • I will miss you forever. You allways treated me like I was your son. I thought of you as my other dad. I will think of you every day and miss my "I am bored" buddy. Love you... Leo gittler
