Condolences

  • I remember vividly the Dave and Bob comedy hour. Those 2 were inseparable and always joking around. Whether in band or during play practices Dave always had us in stitches. Deb T.
  • What a joy Dave Tomasovitch was. He was magical. He was, as my dad used to say, a one-er. We had so much in common - but I think he found commonalities with everyone he had in his life. He enjoyed connecting with people and got energy for those connections. He made everyone feel special, appreciated and valued. I feel so lucky to have had him in my life and will always treasure our friendship. I will miss you forever and you will always be a part of me. Laura Mann
  • I used to so enjoy talking 60's music with Dave. It was amusing to me that he was a Monkees fan, a Herman's Hermits fan, knew of Paul Revere and the Raiders .....and so much more, since he was still in diapers when these legendary (had to say that!!) Bands were making records (yep, VINYL). A TRUE original. A guy who could make us laugh and think and debate, all within the same conversation. I am not embarrassed to say that I will miss him so very much. It sounds like a bunch of BS rhetoric, but the world is just a bit less colorful, just slightly less interesting and a lot less HAPPY without this beautiful soul hanging out on earth. I know that so many who have gone before you are happy to greet you (including those special fur friends) . Heaven has found a new COOL guy! Anita Fegan
  • We felt like we knew and loved Dave through you. I wish we had got to know him better. He will always be an angel on your shoulder We love you and pray for you and his whole family Vita & John

  • Simply said, David was the son-in-law every mother would want for their daughter! He was a wonderful Dad to Chloe and Benjamin. He was a good son to Ed and Blanche. He was a great bother to Missy. Everyone liked him immediately! I will miss seeing him. I will miss our discussions about politics, movies, books, music and life in general. He was a beloved teacher, talented writer, musician, poet and one of the good guys! These past two and a half years have had its ups and downs but now he is at peace. Loriann, Chloe and Benjamin will have family to take care of them. David was one of a kind and the world was a better place because he existed. Love you! GA GA
  • Dave, you were like a brother to me. Thanks for all the good times and everything you've always done for me.. See you on the other side bro! Love shell! <3 Shell
  • I will never be able to put into words what my brother meant to me. For us, friendship went beyond being siblings. We shared everything from the good and bad to happy and sad. He was my confidant, my friend and someone I trusted more than anyone. I am so honored that I was able to take care of him and be by his side through his bitter battle with cancer. Although in pain most times he could still find humor at his own expense and make you laugh. Life will never be the same without Dave. He was one of a kind and was the most brilliant person I know with so much talent. A composer, writer, musician, college teacher, son, dad ,husband uncle and brother... no matter what role he played he played them all with a heart bigger than life. I love you Dave and I will never ever forget you. I look forward to seeing you again and I know I will. I love you. Sister Scum Melissa Coombs
  • David made the world a better place, Bill Richardsom
  • Dave was my best friend over the last 36 years. We had our own language and way of communicating and he knew me better than anyone. I will miss our tea times on the porch and at the river, I will miss our weekly breakfasts and lunches, I will miss our daily irreverent morning texts, I will miss him getting frustrated with my phobia of technology, I will miss trying to stump him on music trivia ( I rarely did ), I will miss our trivial pursuit games (I actually won a few), I will miss all the silliness, I will miss our talks about women, God, and the utter absurdity of existence, I will miss how damn sexy he was (he’d want me to say that), I’ll miss trying to talk him out of his impulsive choices (I never could), I’ll miss watching freighters go by and flocks of geese flying in off the water with him, in short I’ll miss everything. So long my friend, I’ll see ya on the other side. - Largicus Largicus Whalicus
  • Dave was a very sweet and kind person. We served on the band booster board together and he always brought a lot of insight and wisdom to the table. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time. Please know he was loved and will be missed by so many. Deanna Calleja
  • My prayers and condolences goes out to the family and friends of whom I’ve always called Mr. Dave! David and I used to work together for about four years. From day one of meeting, Dave he was an awesome and cool guy! You don’t always meet people like him. We would always have our side talks about our kids, life goals & challenges, laughing at whatever we could laugh about, and music. It was honor knowing you Mr. Dave. You will truly be missed. Montell McNeary
  • Our thoughts and hearts are with Loriann, Chloe and Ben. Myself and my family are so so sorry for you lose. Dave was my buddy at work. Often times we were the first two in the back corner cubicles on the 1st floor in the morning for about an hour or two. I loved over conversations and banter. The first time he met my son he actually engaged in conversation with him and asked him about his taste in music and art. Dave was funny and witty and his off-kilter sense of humor kept us on our toes. He was kind and authentic and a simple soul which are some of the best attitudes in an individual. Whether he was joking, angry or being serious, he always had something of substance to say. I know you all will miss him most of all, but he will be deeply missed by so many of us at Wayne Metro as well. Rest easy, Dah-veed. LaNeisha Brown
  • Dave was a special friend, he will be missed. Play some trumpet with the angels buddy. Jeff iverson
