THOMPSON Sr., Donald L., age 76, of New Boston passed away August 21, 2021. Loving husband of Linda, father to Donald, Jr. (Daniela), Bradley and stepsons Gary and Ron, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother to Melinda and Gregory, and brother-in-law to Cathy Snyder. Also leaves behind lifetime and best friend, Bob Wriska. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Lynn and her husband, Hugh Lynn, stepfather Stanley Prush, older brother Billy and “like a brother” Gene Williams. Don served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1963-1965 on the USS Intrepid. He worked as a pipefitter / welder and retired from UA 190 in 2006. His love of music and singing karaoke filled his life. He also enjoyed camping and Nascar. In keeping with Don’s wishes a simple cremation has been arranged, no public services are planned. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
