Obituary

Gregory Howard Taylor passed away at home on July 3rd surrounded by family including his forever love Connie Lipke.

Greg was a treasured son and sibling, and a loving father to his pride and joy- his only son Brian. He was a fiercely loyal friend and the kind of father in law every bride hopes to have. Greg was serious and generous about his family. However you ended up at his table you were his family on the first day and every day after. He dutifully called and text his entire list for every holiday and birthday. Whoever Greg thought of as family, their family became his too. Every conversation he’d ask after any kids, spouses, girlfriends, and on.

Greg spent his career as a highly skilled mechanic, working over 40 years at Henry’s Service Center. His favorite way to end a long work day was to crack some Buds and hang out with his friends. At home he’d unwind watching NASCAR, automotive repair videos, and tinkering. Greg used to wire his own animatronics for the best Halloween displays around. The rest of the year he loved to spend outside in his garage, running a bubble machine to entertain his dog Lulu while he tended his pond.

Greg was the most loving, caring, and thoughtful man. He was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie and his brother Jay. He is survived by his love of 26 years Connie Lipke, his son Brian Taylor and Brian’s wife Judy, Greg’s “breath of fresh air.” and Brian's mother Kennedine. He leaves behind his loving mother Shirley Gazdowicz and his siblings Rose Oates and Chuck (Tracy) Gazdowicz, as well and his nieces Chantel and Candis and their children. Greg will be deeply missed by his friends and family members- those related by blood, by marriage, and by choice- all too numerous to name and deeply treasured.
