Obituary
Heather Linn Tackett, a beloved wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, sister, and friend passed away on October 7, 2024, in Royal Oak, Michigan, at the age of 58. Born on August 13, 1966, in Nelsonville, Ohio, Heather brought joy and happiness into the lives of everyone she knew. Heather was the most selfless, loving, caring, and beautiful person.
Heather's love and legacy continue through her surviving family: her devoted husband, Stephen Tackett, and their children, Desiree (Jacob) Reitmeyer, Casie Tackett, Chase (Chesarai) Tackett, Jaden Tackett, and Wrigley. She was a proud Mimi to Landen, Tucker, and Teghan, who brought endless joy to her days.
She was preceded in death by her dear brother Robert Martin Jr. and her sister Katrina Martin. Their memories remained forever close to her heart.
Heather is also survived by her parents, Robert and Flora Martin, whose love and support were constant throughout her life. Her brother, Shawn (Krissy) Martin, along with nephews Noah and Tobias Martin, held a special place in her heart. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Angela Fairley.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Heart Association in honor of Heather's memory.
