Thomas, Joel D., age 78 of Hastings, MI., formally of Livonia, June 29, 2016. Joel was born August 25, 1937 to Thad Joel and Mary Thomas in Detroit. Joel retired from Kelsey Hayes as a plumber pipe fitter. During the 1970 to 1980's Joel had a photography business. Joel enjoyed country music and dancing. He made many good friends in Hastings and his first question was always " do you Dance." Joel is survived by his loving sister and brother-in-law Judy (Calvin) Dickerson and family Kevin Dickerson, Lori (Daniel) Caurso and Andrew (Janet) Dickerson. Four children, David Thomas, Mary Thomas, Suzanne (Don) Johns and Robert (Cindy) Thomas and many grandchildren,brother Garry (Nancy) Thomas and very speical friend Elizabeth Fisco.
