Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathleen Marie Trueblood, who departed this life on February 22, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on December 15, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, Kathleen was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She peacefully passed away in Brownstown, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen was a woman of warmth and generosity, known for her open heart and open door. She extended her kindness to all who crossed her path, offering support and compassion regardless of blood ties. Her profound love for family was evident and she was the roots to the family.

She had a passion for cooking and found joy in sharing meals with loved ones. Music filled her home and heart, as did the aroma of her beloved coffee. In her younger days, Kathleen embraced the outdoors, relishing long walks, swimming adventures, and the serenity of nature. Her green thumb was particularly evident in her garden, where she took pride in nurturing tomatoes.

Kathleen was a devoted fan of "The Days of Our Lives," never missing an episode. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Trueblood; her siblings Phil, Joe, and Mike; and her parents, Helen and Clarence Murray, Kathleen's memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her children, Shelly (Jeff) Noble, David Trueblood, and Michelle (Jayson) Kovalchik; her cherished grandchildren Nicole, Jeffrey, Chelsea, Destiny, Amelia, Isabella, Michael, and Alyssa; and her adored great-grandchildren. Kathleen's furry companions, Mocha, Ace, and Peter, also held a special place in her heart. Her siblings Helen, Mary, Will, Tina, and Rich will forever remember her loving spirit.

Kathleen's life was a testament to love, kindness, and resilience. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
