  • My dear, sweet DeeAnn, how my heart breaks for you. It seems impossible that Ricky is gone and so unexpectedly. I can hardly write, for the tears, after watching the beautiful photo tribute, shown here. You are blessed with great memories, but, sometimes, they can make it harder. You and your family are and will be in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you, as only He can, knowing Ricky is with Him and we will be reunited one day. Love you. -- Jan Jan Coyne-Henkel

  • We have lived across the street from Dee and Rick for just over 5 years now. Rick was a good guy, an even better neighbor and we adored him! He would watch over the house while we were away, he would give my husband a hard time if the grass got too long, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. At least 3 or 4 days a week, my kids (ages 5 and 3) would say good morning to him as he sat on his front porch having his morning coffee. They would wave frantically and say "Hi Mr. Rick" before getting in the car to head to school. If for some reason he was not outside, my 5 year old would look at me and say something like: "Where is Mr. Rick. Do you think he is sick?" - she would ask that, not because she thought he was sick, but because she couldn't understand why certain days he wasn't outside when she was. Just the other day Rick and I had a heart-to-heart about how marriage is about teamwork and how wonderful it is to have someone on "your team". He will be dearly missed. Dee, if you need anything, I am only a few steps away; please don't hesitate to come over. Dominick, Amanda, Avery and Brynleigh LaNore
