TAIG, Sidney E, age 82, of Westland, went to his heavenly home on February 06, 2022. Sidney was born on June 23, 1939, to the late Edward and Ethel (Vogtman) Taig in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Sidney is predeceased by brothers Leonard and Larry. He has two surviving siblings, Debby Smith and Bill Nicol. He married the love of his life, Marcia Jean White, on March 04, 1961, celebrating almost 61 years together! They welcomed four children, Tina (Bob) Malmquist, Rick (Amy) Taig, Robin (Gene) Reitz, and Tim (Cathy) Taig. They were also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Sidney was a journeyman painter with the Walter Carrol Company for many years and retired from the Wayne County Airport Authority in 2008 after 15 years of service. He was an avid hunter, camper and outdoorsman. Above all, he loved his precious wife and family. Sid professed Jesus Christ as his personal savior and had a kind and tender spirit toward everyone.
