Obituary
W. Joan Tarr, age 86, of Trenton, passed away on August 2, 2024. Born on July 16, 1938, in Wyandotte, Joan lived a life full of love, family, and cherished memories.
Joan was preceded in death by her dear sister, Nancy Matthews. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her in their hearts. She is survived by her devoted children, Laura Schaeffer, Diane Tarr, and Barbara Friedman. She was the proud grandmother to Joshua Schaeffer, Jessica Friedman, Erica (Jeffrey) Alves, Danielle Friedman and Nick, and Adam Friedman. Her legacy continues through her precious great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Skyler, Aaliyah, Hunter, and Gabriella.
A funeral service to honor Joan’s life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to meet at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home at 11:30 AM for a procession.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Joan's memory. Her kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
