Obituary
JACOB DANIEL URSING
Jacob Daniel Ursing, “Jeb”, “Jebediah”, “J-Money”, “Yeebus”, “Jay-Pup”, “Jake”, and “Cousin-Boy” to his younger cousins, 25, of Taylor, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 9th, 2022, at his home in Taylor, MI. He was born December 6th, 1996, to James and Joan Ursing.
Jacob was a gentle heart, a kind soul, and a beloved son and brother to his family. He grew up wrestling with his brothers, David and Joshua, playing GameBoy, and soaking up attention as the youngest (and sassiest) of 3 boys in Southeast Michigan. His warm, caring personality started early, where as a child Jacob could be found hugging classmates who were crying after their parents dropped them off at school. Beyond his immense compassion for others, his ‘do what’s right’, unmatched work ethic continued through every year of his far too young life. Forever a night owl, his late night talks with friends and family about life, music, God, gaming, and just about anything imaginable will be forever cherished.
Multiple cross-country road trips with his brothers and cousin and years of legendary (i.e. massive) Port Austin bonfires later, Jacob earned his degree in Criminal Justice from Henry Ford College while working first at McDonalds, and later with S & G Auto. He most recently worked for and was loved by his colleagues at UPS in Romulus. Whether laughing till sunrise watching hilariously bad B movies with family, giving his brother grief about how much better Android is than Apple, or being climbed on like a tree by his younger cousins, one thing was always constant—Jacob’s glowing, boundless smile. To know Jacob was to know unconditional love in its purest sense, and to know that all these years later he was still the same kid looking for who needed a hug the most.
