Obituary

Roger Lynn Vanderbush, 71, of Carleton, MI, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on July 3, 1952 to the late Arthur and Patricia (Gramlich) Vanderbush and grew up in Carleton, MI, a town he loved and never left.

For most of his career, Roger worked at Michigan Gas Utilities where he retired from in 2014. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and morel mushroom hunting. He was also a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers baseball and Detroit Lions football teams. Roger loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He also helped build the Carleton Motorcycle Club (CMC) and was a lifetime member. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Roger is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vicki (Clevenger) Vanderbush, his children: Spike (Rachel) Vanderbush of Belleville, MI, and Serina (Greg) Vanderbush of Carleton, MI.

He was extremely proud of his three grandchildren: Xain and Xoey Vanderbush, and Ayden Hunter.

He is also survived by his siblings: Kaye Vanderbush of Tecumseh, MI, Brenda (Terry) Ciersezwski of Carleton, MI, and Luke Vanderbush of Monroe, MI; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as cherished longtime close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations for medical expenses.
