Van Dusen Jr., William (Bill) J., July 31, 1942 to May 27, 2022. Bill was preceeded in death by his parents, William and Betty Van Dusen, his brother, Tim Van Dusen, His daughter, Lea (Van Dusen) Lyons and his niece, Melissa Van Dusen. Bill leaves behind his wife, Linda (Ransom) Van Dusen, a brother, Sam (Nancy) Van Dusen,a sister, Beth (Greg) Friend, a daughter, Jeanne’ (Deron) Lent, stepson Presley ( Suzanne) Sims, Stepdaughter, Dawn (Dave) Marulli. Three Grandsons, Austin, Connor, and Evan Lent, four granddaughters, Chelsea, and Sara Sims and Samantha and Nicole Marulli. Two nephews, Bill Friend and Sam Van Dusen, and two nieces, Dawn (Keith) Van Dusen-Patton and Colleen Friend. Bill’s pride and joy were his grandchildren, but he always enjoyed spending time with family and friends whenever possible. Bill was employed by Ford Motor Company for over 30 years where he would start out as a mechanic and work his way up to an engineer for the heavy truck division. Bill’s enjoyment for vehicles, especially Corvettes and Hot Rods, as well as helping others out, always kept him busy. Bill was always a lover of the outdoors, whether it was snow skiing in his younger days or hunting and fishing with his family and friends throughout his entire life. After Bill retired, he spent most of the summer at their place in Gladwin, MI on the Tittabawassee river. It was there where Bill became an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Bill also enjoyed many other activities throughout his nearly 80 years of life. Bill touched many peoples’ lives and he will forever be missed. His cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.www.mimemorial.com
