West, Charles A., age 73, of Brownstown Charter, October 10, 2023. Beloved husband of Nancy Jean West. Loving father of Charles Jason (Jennifer) West, Amanda Louise Khalil, Michael Robert West, and step-father of Robert Bies, Sheryl (Anthony) Randazzo, Tina Zubor, and Rodney Bies. Dearest grandfather of 16, and great-grandfather of 9. He also will be missed by his precious canines Rue and Bailie. He is survived by his sister Clydine Clendennin and niece and nephew Renae and Johnny. He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Lee West, and brother-in-law Richard Clendennin. Charles enjoyed his yearly trips to Florida, playing backgammon, long boat rowing, golfing and bowling. He was a fan of Detroit’s sports teams and was an avid coin collector. He loved to garden; he would plant 500 tulips every year. He was proud to serve in the United States Army 1st Cavalry Division in the Vietnam War. Charles also was a second-generation member of the Plumbers Local #98. Donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
