  • I too, met Dewey in the 7th grade at basketball tryouts. We had battled each other in grade school basketball the years prior, but really only knew each other’s name at the time. That was the first time we were able to play on the same team together, along with the other Hunter and Weiss kids in our class. Dewey was the ultimate competitor and the epitome of a student athlete. He was the first person to pick you up after a hard foul in practice, but more importantly the first person to back you up on game day when someone on the opposing team was getting too physical. My condolences to you and your family. Greg Heyer
  • I'm so very sorry for your loss. I met Dewey in the 7th grade and he was the nicest guy I've ever met. We were friends through high school and even had a couple college classes together. We lost touch after that, but I will never forget what kind of friend he was. I was actually just talking about him to my brother last week. RIP Dewey. You will be missed. Jason Taylor
  • So sorry to hear of your sons death. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Peggy Carter
