Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gayle Ann Williams, who departed this life on January 23, 2025, in Dearborn at the age of 84. She was born on December 10, 1940, in Detroit, where she began a journey marked by love, family, and cherished hobbies.

Gayle had a passion for crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that will be treasured by her family for years to come. She found joy in participating in a senior dance group, where her vibrant spirit shone brightly. Shopping was another of her delights, allowing her to express her style and creativity.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Bidwell; her second husband, Claude "Gordon" Williams; her beloved daughter, Debbie Bidwell; and many loving brothers whose memories she cherished deeply.

Gayle's legacy lives on through her surviving family: her devoted children, Shawn (Gordon) Lickliter, Christine Marx, and Gerry (Brien) Whitcomb. She was a cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her siblings, Marilyn Manspeaker, Margaret Gilbert, Christine Cassinski, Michael Mosser and Fred Mosser, who will miss her dearly.

Gayle's warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends.
