Obituary

Gregory Dale Walley, affectionately known as Gregg, passed away in Dearborn, Michigan, due to heart failure. Born on October 20, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, Gregg dedicated his life to his work and passions with steadfast commitment and enthusiasm.

Gregg served his community with dedication as a skilled butcher, a profession he found rewarding and fulfilling.  Outside of his work, he cherished the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, pursuits that brought him peace and joy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, H. Dale Walley and Edeth Walley, and his sister Sandra Walley. Their memories were cherished and held close to his heart.
Surviving Gregg are his uncles, Clarence Mitchell and Glenn Osborne, along with his aunts, Hester Reynolds and Janet Howard. He also leaves behind several cousins and other family members who will remember him fondly for his kind spirit.
A visitation to honor Gregg’s life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
A service to celebrate his life will be at 6:00pm in the Michigan Memorial Chapel. An Inurnment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park at a later date.
Gregg will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.  May he rest in peace, reunited with his family who went before him.

Condolences

  • So Sorry to hear of Gregg's passing. I worked with him at Busch's. He was a nice, quiet man. His sweatshirt still hangs in the hallway at the store and every time I pass by it, I think so sad, we are going to miss you. Cathy Phillips
