Obituary

Jack A Walls (May 25, 1939 – May 27, 2017) of Taylor, MI passed away peacefully on Saturday morning in Detroit, MI. Jack was born in Wyandotte, MI to Frank and Virginia Walls. Jack was a US Air Force veteran and retired from Huron Valley Steel after 29 years. He enjoyed, fishing, auto racing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all, he enjoyed camping with his family and friends throughout Michigan. Jack will be remembered as a loving family man with a great sense of humor and a warm, outgoing personality.

Condolences

  • My husband Keith & I first met Jack & Sandi, through their daughter April & our son Bill. Through the years we found Jack to have a kind and easy going personality. When ever there was a project being worked on ( cutting down tree's, splitting logs, mowing grass, shoveling snow etc... ) you could always count on Jack to lend a helping hand. Many a bond fire / brush fire was monitored , kept under control , safely by Smokey the Bear ( Jack). It has been an honor and a privilege to have known him , and his friendship will truly be missed. I hope when Jack meets up with Keith in the here after , they will be able to enjoy each other's company once again reminiscing about days gone by. My heart goes out to Sandi, and her family at this most difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all. Judy

  • I will always hold a special place in my heart for this man. I may not be blood but he always accepted me. My oldest son is named after him because he was such a loving and caring man. We will miss you Pops! Lynn
  • Jack was my only brother, we shared a lot of memories together, I always looked forward to his camping trips and the chance to spend the day with him while camping, he loved having his family and friends around him. And the Holidays when Jack, Sandi and myself would head North to our sister Jill's . house and spend the next two days cooking and preparing food for the Holiday, and the many card games we would play in between, I will miss all this with him for the rest of my life, he was a good man and was loved by all, not only was he my brother, he was also my best friend... Your Brother Roy Roy Walls
  • Jack was a very good man and a very special "Pops" to his grandson, Brandon. He will be missed very much by us. Barbara McComsey
