  • Jim wasn't "just" my brother in law, he was a great friend to me for many many years! From fishing, to racing, to making me try that dam hot salsa he made, then laughing at me for eating it! He taught me a lot, he gave me advice, and would talk to me for hours on the phone about trucks and motorcycles and everything else! From the time I was little, I always thought he was some kind of superman! I saw this dude reach in to an engine compartment and pull out the motor by hand! Who the hell do you know that could do that besides big Jim? I'm gonna miss you brother! I've always loved you and I won't stop now! Watch over us man, until we meet again! God must've needed some security to want you up there! Godspeed Jim! Danny Lindsey

  • Jimmy, from the first time I met you after I married your beautiful sister you made sure I felt like a part of your family. We all had a good time around you. I always loved and respected you for your strength in forging ahead with whatever you were doing. I was grateful and honored for the times I spent helping or just being around you. I always had a great time at the race track hanging with you. You are truly missed and loved by many. Love you Jimmy. Shane Hyder
  • I forgot to say in my first condolence about Jimmy , Jimmy had nicknames for just about everyone , he joked and picked at us all , Thats how we knew Jimmy loves us !! I would be riding my bicycle and Jimmy would drive up behind me a blow his horn and scare me!! and then I would hear him laughing and he would pull up beside me and would be smiling from ear to ear !! I can still see his smile and hear his laugh , these are just some of the things I will miss , I love and miss you Jimmy , Barb West Barb West

  • My uncle Jimmy's eulogy Dear friends and family, Today, we gather with heavy hearts to say goodbye to our beloved Brother Jimmy, a man who brought laughter, love, stability, and light into the lives of all who knew him. This loss is beyond difficult, and it is hard to accept the reality that we will never hear his infectious laughter or see his playful smile again. But even in this moment of sadness, we find comfort in the memories of this exceptional man. He was known for his unwavering commitment to the principles of brotherhood, charity, and truth that are at the core of Freemasonry. He lived his life with strength, integrity, and dignity, always striving to make an impact on those around him. His devotion to his family, friends, and the Masonic Fraternity, earned him the admiration and respect of all who knew him. Jimmy was more than just a faithful brother. He was an honorable son, a steadfast husband, devoted father and father in law, loving grandfather, great grandfather, an uncle, a true friend, a mentor, a coach, and a source of guidance, laughter, and love. He always had a quick wit and a mischievous sense of humor, and he wasn't afraid to tease you if he liked you. He showed his love through acts of service, if he counted you among someone he cared for, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for you and his door was always open. He was a big man with an even bigger heart. Born into a large family with three sisters and one surviving brother, he was raised with a strong sense of family values. He was the big brother to his siblings and always looked out for them, no matter what life brought their way. When their father passed away, he tried his best to be what his family needed. As they grew older and started their own families, he extended this love to his in-laws, treating them like his own blood. He also had a unique bond with his mother Patty, he called her fatty baggle as an inside joke and called her almost daily. He was a proud man who was proud of himself and what he had accomplished in life, but his family was his greatest source of pride. He had a deep and unbreakable bond with his children, Jamey and Amanda, and was fiercely protective of them. His joy knew no bounds when he became a grandfather and great-grandfather, and his love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless. It would be an understatement to say that his absence will be deeply felt by his family. He was a faithful husband to his wife Vanda for almost 50 years. Through the good times and the bad they were each other’s cornerstones and they were never far apart. The life they built together and the love they shared has created 3 generations of love and family that will continue to grow and expand for lifetimes. He brought smiles to the faces of those around him, even in the darkest of times, and just like today through our suffering as we gather and share our personal stories and memories of him, he will be here in our hearts making us smile and laugh. If you had the privilege of spending time with him at the racetrack or hunting and fishing, you got to be with him doing some of his favorite things. Those are times to cherish, and he would want you to remember him in those times especially today. It has been an honor and a privilege to write this eulogy, although it has been challenging. He loved so many and was loved by so many that it is impossible to include everyone and capture all the love in one eulogy. This is a testament to his greatness. He was a remarkable man with a sensitive heart, and a strong character. In this time of loss, we hold onto the knowledge that his legacy will live on. His unwavering commitment to the ideals of Freemasonry, family, his kindness, and his infectious laughter will continue to inspire and guide us. He was a true builder of character, using his hands, his heart, and his strength to shape the world and the lives of those around him. Dear Uncle Jimmy, as you take your final journey, Rest peacefully knowing that we will hold your memory with gratitude and respect and an unwavering love. Your presence will remain within us all, and your smile will shine on in our hearts until we meet again. With love and the fondest memories your loving family, Christina West
