Obituary
John Marvin Wetherbee, Jr., 46, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed away on August 28, 2024, in Dearborn, Michigan. Born on March 11, 1978, John lived a life full of love, dedication, and adventure.
He was the proud owner of Sterling Office Systems, alongside his business partners Jeff Polites and Marcie Klepack. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence made the business a point of pride and a testament to his hard work and determination.
John had a deep passion for traveling, especially cherishing the memories made with his family during trips to Jamaica. His heart was always full when surrounded by his loved ones, enjoying countless moments of joy and laughter with both family and friends.
A man of faith, John was a devoted member of Gilead Baptist Church in Taylor, Michigan, where he found a strong sense of community and spiritual guidance. He also shared many fond moments on a bowling league with his wife Carrie, sister-in-law Tammy, and father-in-law Joe at Belmar Lanes, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition.
John is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Earl Gesch and Sarah Wilson, paternal grandparents Edwin Wetherbee and Audra Elkins, Aunt Mickey Stellini, Uncles Albert Gesch, Earl Gesch, Jr., and Randy Florinchi, as well as Cousin Nancy Florinchi.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his wife, Carrie Wetherbee; his children, John Wetherbee III and Caitlyn Wetherbee; and his beloved grandchildren, Mason and Elliana. He is also survived by his parents, John Wetherbee, Sr. and Sylvia Gesch; his siblings Tammy Hunter, Andrea Ludwig, Renee Wetherbee, and Nicole Salazar; and a multitude of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
John’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and perseverance. His journey touched the hearts of many, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him. Rest in peace, John Marvin Wetherbee, Jr. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved you.
