Obituary

John Roland Walters Jr., born on June 24, 1966, in Trenton, Michigan, passed away on February 3, 2026, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 59.

John was a devoted family man who cherished his time with loved ones. He had a passion for shooting guns and an abiding love for music. One of his cherished routines was enjoying his morning coffee by the Detroit River, a simple pleasure that brought him great joy. John also had a fondness for Mountain Dew and was an avid supporter of Donald Trump.

His greatest joy came from his family, especially his grandchildren, who he adored. John was preceded in death by his father, John Roland Walters Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debi Walters, and his dear mother, Ruth Walters.

He leaves behind a loving legacy through his children: Melissa Oliver, Nanette Brown, Jessica (Bryan) Stramecki, Gary (Keli) Oliver, and Aaron (Sarah) Baker. He was a proud grandfather to his eight grandchildren: Jazlyn, Caiden, Mila, Ethan, Peyton, Luke, Avalyn, and Raelynn. John is also survived by his siblings, Charlie Walters, Jimmy Walters, and Michelle Walters.

John's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
