Obituary

LITTELL-WILSON, Linda L., age 70, of Taylor. Linda peacefully ended her battle with cancer on March 12, 2011. Beloved mother of Arnold, Laura, Edward II and Erick. Loving grandmother of Kya Lee-Kandah (Yacoub), LaKeshia Haliburton, Jerisha Lee, Jhordan Haliburton, Arnold Littell, Jr.,Zolton Cheeseborough, DeJon Haliburton and Alven Littell and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Jerry Butch (Pam) Littell, Janet (Sam) Backrog, James (Cathy) Pug, Jr. and Lorretta Cole, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a dedicated employee of Henry Ford Hospital for over 45 years. Linda was actively involved in many sports, She held a record at Flint High School in track for many years. Linda, her parents and siblings participated in the Flint Olympian and CANUSA games. An award was named after the Littell family for having the most family members participate in the games. She enjoyed playing tennis and baseball and watching football. As an alumnus of Michigan State, she always rooted for the Spartans in any sport or game in which they played. Linda most enjoyed holidays, vacations, spending time outdoors and being with family. She celebrated every holiday from St. Patrick’s Day to Valentines day with meals, decorations and trinkets. But she looked most forward to Christmas. Her entire family would gather at her house on Christmas Eve, where presents would be stacked taller than the grandchildren. Linda would play “Santa Clause” handing out gifts to enjoy the expressions on everyone’s face. She looked forward to family vacations and holiday picnics in the park. In her union with Ray Wilson, they spent many hours boating and fishing on the lake and remained close friends.
