Obituary
Michele Ann Wallace (Voggenreiter), age 67, of Flat Rock, Michigan, passed away on September 16th surrounded by the love of her family following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Michele was born on August 4, 1959, to Michael and Betty (Shock) Voggenreiter. She grew up in Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1977. Not long after, she began what would become an incredible 41-year career with Midway Products Group. Michele was an exceptionally dedicated and hardworking employee whose loyalty, dependability, and strong work ethic were simply part of who she was. She retired in 2025, ready to enjoy a new chapter of life and more time with the people she loved most.
Michele married her beloved husband, Patrick Wallace, on September 20, 2003. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, companionship, and countless memories. After retirement, Michele and Pat enjoyed traveling together and finally having the opportunity to slow down and enjoy more time with one another.
Above everything else, Michele’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted mother to Kevin Clock and Melissa Siewert; a loving mother-in-law to Robert Siewert, who held a very special place in her heart; and a proud and loving Grandma to Bentley, Brielle, and Aubrey Siewert.
There was very little that could keep Michele away from something involving her children or grandchildren. If there was a sporting event, she was there. Through countless games, early mornings, and weekends, she could always be counted on to show up and cheer them on. She showed her love through her presence.
Cancer may have been part of the final chapter of Michele’s life, but it will never be the story of her life. Her story is 67 years of love, family, hard work, and memories. It is a life shared with Pat, raising her children, becoming a Grandma, traveling after retirement, cousin nights, family vacations, and countless ordinary days that became extraordinary simply because they were spent together.
Michele was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Betty (Shock) Voggenreiter; her sister, Cheryl Voggenreiter; and her daughter, Amy Clock, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.
She leaves behind her husband, Patrick Wallace; her children, Kevin Clock and Melissa (Robert) Siewert; her grandchildren, Bentley, Brielle, and Aubrey Siewert; her sister, Cathy (Pete) Portillo; her brothers, David Voggenreiter and Michael (Elena) Voggenreiter; as well as many family members and friends whose lives were touched by knowing and loving her.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 21, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. She will lie in state at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 10:00 am with Pastor Lee Cullen of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Michigan Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Axiom Cares hospice team for the compassion, kindness, and support they provided during Michele’s final days. A very special thank you to Keegan and Madison, whose gentle care, guidance, and compassion brought comfort not only to Michele, but to her entire family during an incredibly difficult time. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Michele was loved beyond words, and she will be missed beyond measure.
